Welcome to Oregon Fast Draw! We’re Cowboy Fast Draw shooters and you’re invited to join us! Curious how fast or accurate you would have been had you lived in the American west, or looking for an affordable and fun cowboy shooting sport? There are two Cowboy Fast Draw Association (CFDA) clubs in Oregon.

The Orygun Gunfighters meet the first (practice) and third (match) Saturdays of every month, from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the L Bar T Bison Ranch in Forest Grove, Oregon. The Ford Dalles Defenders shoot the second Saturday of every month, from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the Dalles Rifle and Pistol Club in Dalles, Oregon. On the occasional fifth Saturday, the Orygun Gunfighters sponsor a “fun match,” in Forest Grove, with unusual shooting distances, games and targets.

SPECIAL EVENTS COMING UP!

• July 17.  In place of our usual monthly match, we’re hosting a special Dalles Pistol and Rifle Club sponsored match at the Fort Dalles Days celebration in the Dalles.   A mandatory shooters meeting will be held at 12 noon.  The 4X match follows.  Custom Orygun Gunfighter / Fort Dalles Defenders certificates to be awarded to the top five shooters!  Match fee is $20.
• July 30. A special fifth Saturday “fun match” featuring some specialized targets and shooting at the L Bar T Bison Ranch in Forest Grove.  $20 buys you a chance to win silly prizes and compete at this Orygun Gunfighter-sponsored match, featuring such games as the “Beer Slam” (shooting both single and multiple targets), as well as the new games “Lefty Coast” (which hones the shooter’s target acquisition skills) and ”John Wesley,” (which pushes the shooter to choose between speed and accuracy)!
• August 13-15, the first Oregon State Championship, “the Gunfight at Trail’s End” sponsored by the Orygun Gunfighters, the Fort Dalles Defenders and the legendary Idaho Shootists. Lodging information for historic Canyon City here. $5,000 in prizes!
• September 30-October 3, the 2010 Beretta’s Fastest Gun Alive, the CFDA’s world championship of Cowboy Fast Draw in Fallon, Nevada.
